S/Y Polytropon II; a racing thoroughbred combining Nautorʼs custom line construction with the renowned Naval Architect German Frerʼs pedigree.
The addition of ultra modern design of Lazzarini & Pickeringʼs Studio, promises exhilarating sailing on board a distinctive and unique yacht.
M/Y Polytrofon II; a 30 knot Escort Boat, with a crew of four, who perform all daily routines on board, thus offering absolute solitude and privacy for S/Y Polytropon IIʼs guests whilst providing impeccable yet subtle five-star service.
Stepping on board the beautiful wooden deck of the bright and brilliant s/y Polytropon II, you are immediately greeted by a broad deck space. The yacht has a linear structure which adds to its sleek and slender image. There is a vertically positioned table in the centre of the deck with a white sofa on either side. This seating and dining area comfortably seats six people however the table can be extended on either end allowing entertainment of up to twelve. It also has a hydraulic sprayhood and fully enclosed bimini providing shade and protection when necessary. Walking through the dining area, directly after the dining table you find the entrance to the salon. Making your way fore following the linear design of the exterior, in close liaison with the seating area, there is a vast sunbathing area. The side of the mattress furthest from the seating area can be slightly raised enabling you to lie back and relax, enjoying the sun, whilst staying involved with your friends who are dining. This makes for a sociable and intimate environment should you so wish it. Making your way past the sunbathing area, there is an extremely generous deck space fore.
Just past the dining/seating area on deck, walking down 5 small steps, you find yourself in s/y Polytropon II’s fresh and light salon. Maintaining her minimal interior all surfaces, tables, floors of the yacht are a beautiful teak wood, complimented only by white lacquer. This two tone of teak and white gives the yacht its simple, bright and modern feel. Directly on your right hand side there is a small galley equipped with three refrigerators, one freezer, one icemaker, one microwave, one dishwasher, a sink and gas stove, full sets of crockery, two wine chillers and a small bar area all of which are discreet and subtle behind wooden work tops, cupboards and drawers. It is on board m/y Polytrofon II, the Escort boat to s/y Polytropon II, where all daily routines are performed by the four crew members therefore offering absolute solitude and privacy for s/y Polytropon II’s guests. However this small and fully equipped galley allows the stewardess to provide refreshments and snacks easily and promptly, should it be so required. Directly on your left hand side upon entering the salon you will find a small area which houses the navigation equipment and technology. All equipment is hidden again behind white lacquer and teak wood cabinets. On both the right and left hand side behind you as you enter the salon are the entrances to the two guest cabins. Directly opposite you as you enter the salon are the white lacquer sliding doors that lead to the Master cabin.
There are two dining and seating areas in the salon, one on the right, after the galley, and on the left after the navigation area. Both areas have a teak wood table and a U-shaped white leather sofa comfortably seating four, but can seat six as well. This allows for a total of eight to twelve people to be accommodating for inside dining. Both tables can be lowered allowing the dining area to be converted into a large seating area, with cushions added to make a big settee. Opening the teak wooden panels behind the seating area on the left hand side of the salon, you will find a 42” Philips flat screen TV along with Apple TV, DVD player, CD player and I-pod docking station. The combination of the subtly located entertainment system and the ability to create a large settee makes for the perfect place to unwind. A distinctive design feature of s/y Polytropon II are the windows running along the top of each side of the yacht. From the outside these windows appear as frosted glass providing the utmost privacy whilst on board as nothing can be seen from the outside in. However from the inside looking out, everything can be seen. An additional feature of these windows is that they open outwards, electronically, for ventilation.
Making your way, through the white lacquer sliding door, into the Master cabin you will immediately notice the natural light that comes through the windows. Like the salon, this cabins design is that of the two tone white lacquer and teak wood, giving it a pure and minimal atmosphere. On your right hand side you will find a small teak wooden desk or vanity table with a white chair and a frosted glass lamp. Two ‘hers’ cupboards are next to the desk with drawers, hanging space and a mirror on the inside of one of the cupboard doors. Directly on your left hand side as you enter, is a small settee, a frosted lamp next to it, and two ‘his’ cupboards with a mirror on the outside for convenience. In front of each of these small areas you will find the two beds which are both single beds and a half. Again following a linear design structure, much like the rest of the yacht, the two beds are on either side of the cabin, both next to windows letting in plenty of natural light. There is very generous storage space in the Master cabin with cupboards running along both sides of the cabin above the windows. These cupboards conveniently and logically open upwards making storage simple. There is a frosted lamp next to each bed as well as chrome bendable reading lights letting you read in comfort and with ease. There is additionally an accessible shelf-like area next to both beds where you can place your belongings. There are two separate doors through which you can enter the ‘his’ and ‘hers’ en-suite facilities, one at the end of each bed; ‘his’ and ‘hers’. Entering the door on your right hand side you find a sink on your immediate right, a good sized shower on your immediate left and past the shower on your left you find the toilet and bidet. Entering the door on your left hand side you find a sink on your immediate left, a good sized shower on your immediate right and past the shower on your right you find the toilet and bidet. The shower has frosted glass and is nicely accented with a wooden floor. Both sides of the bathroom have a window allowing in plenty of natural light and both have plenty of storage space for your personal belongings. Essentially it is two separate bathrooms with a shared shower that separates the two. This offers plenty of space and an element of privacy, if desired, for the two guests.
In the salon facing aft, you see the entrances for the two guest cabins. Entering the guest cabin starboard you pass through one white lacquer sliding door, after which you will find the bathroom directly on your right with one sink, shower and WC, and then you pass through a second white lacquer sliding door where you will find the two single beds. There is a window in the cabin giving natural light and the hatch on the ceiling opens for extra ventilation, there is another hatch in the bathroom which also opens for ventilation. There is plenty of storage space in this cabin with drawers running along the underneath of the two beds and cupboards running above and alongside the beds.
Entering the guest cabin port, you will again pass through one white lacquer sliding door, after which you will find the bathroom directly on your left with one sink, shower and WC, and then you will pass through a second white lacquer sliding door where you will find the beds. This cabin can either be a single cabin with one single bed, or you can bring down the Pullman Berth in order to have two single beds making it a twin cabin or you can have a double cabin as these two singles can be converted into a good sized double bed. Directly on your left as you enter the cabin after passing the bathroom you will find cupboards for storage, as well as cupboards on the left and right hand side running above and alongside the beds. There are also drawers underneath the beds providing additional storage space. Both guest cabins follow the same minimal interior design of teak wood and white, like the rest of the yacht and both offer privacy and solitude due to the fact that they are separated from the salon by two sliding doors and are located aft.
s/y Polytropon II’s platform opens downwards; there are three steps for getting into the sea in the centre of the platform, an additional ladder if required and also a shower on the platform. The yacht is equipped with Wi-Fi connected via GSM landline, and Wi-Fi connected via satellite (on request). There is air-conditioning throughout the yacht, individually controlled in each cabin, with extractors running along both sides of the yacht for extra ventilation. All lights on board have dimmers enabling you to create your desired atmosphere as you so wish. Every hatch on board has both a ‘black out’ and a mosquito net.
Your experience on board s/y Polytropon II, being escorted by m/y Polytrofon II, will be nothing less than exhilarating, exclusive and unique; be part of an original concept new to the world of chartering!
