Day 1 – Pick-up Catania and cruise to Historic Taormina
On arrival at the International Airport of Catania, a host from the crew warmly welcomes you to Sicily. Within fifteen minutes you will be onboard your yacht, moored in the Port of Catania.
Catania is a commercial port, so please do not be surprised at your surroundings when you first arrive. Rest assured that as soon as you are settled onboard we will depart for a two-hour cruise along the more scenic Sicilian coast to our final destination: Taormina—a fascinating town that clings to the cliffs high above the eastern coast of Sicily.
Day 1 continuation – Historic Taormina
Upon arrival, we will drop anchor just off the coast of Taormina. Enjoy a day onboard your yacht, or, if you’d like, take a tender ashore and spend the afternoon exploring the picturesque town, built on terraces cascading down to the sea.
During a walking tour, you will pass cobblestone piazzas, elegant shops, and outdoor cafes en route to the Greek theater. Appreciate the ingenuity of the Greeks who created the spectacular theater with a beautiful natural backdrop of Mt. Etna in the distance.
This evening, enjoy authentic Sicilian cuisine in one of the many restaurants in Taormina, or dine onboard your yacht and reflect on the day’s sites by relaxing under the stars.
Day 2 – The Aeolian Islands – Lipari
We will depart around 6:00 a.m. this morning for the Aeolian Islands—a five to six hour journey. Have breakfast underway as we pass through the Strait of Messina, tucked between the toe of Italy's boot and Sicily. We will emerge to cruise the blue waters of Sicily’s northeastern coast, dotted with islands that vary in character and landscape.
Our ultimate destination is Lipari—the largest of the Aeolian Islands, with its lush, cliff-top meadows and pumice beaches. We will spend the afternoon anchored in a remote bay near Lipari, where you can relax, sunbathe, and take a light lunch. This will also be an excellent time to take advantage of the many water sports activities offered aboard your yacht.
Day 2 continuation – Lipari
For the more adventurous, your crew will delight in teaching you the basics of water skiing or wake boarding…Or, if you wish to explore Lipari, take a tender ashore to enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Meander through the narrow streets or pause in a local pastry shop. After dinner this evening, we will depart for our overnight journey to Capri.
En route to Capri, we will sail past Stromboli, the “Black Giant,” which is one of the few constantly active volcanoes in the world. The view from the sea is most unforgettable, and we may just glimpse the volcanic eruptions lighting up the night sky.
Day 3 – Capri
You will awake this morning to find we have traveled one hundred miles from Lipari and are now anchored just off the Isle of Capri—a breathtaking area of natural beauty in the Bay of Naples.
We will remain anchored here for the day so that you may enjoy for swimming and water sports. An afternoon cruise will take us parts of the island completely inaccessible by other means. Discover the Grotta Bianca, the Natural Arch, the Faraglioni rocks, and the bay of Marina Piccola.
Day 3 continuation – Capri
We will dock in Capri for the night. After dinner, you can wander through the winding streets where you will find chic shopping boutiques. Enjoy some leisure time to explore the Piazzetta—the center of attraction for the many VIPs who visit the island each year.
Day 4 – Naples ( 2:00 p.m. drop off)
This morning, we will travel a short hour and a half distance to Naples— Italy’s third largest city located at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius, where you are scheduled to disembark.
As your journey aboard your yacht comes to an end, you can be certain that you have enjoyed the definitive southern Italian experience.
